A Singers' Tour of Toronto

The music for this concert was selected to bear witness to the various “villages” which still make up the city of Toronto  –  some obvious, like Forest Hill, Chinatown, the Annex; others more elusive in definition.  But we ended up with a very varied programme, including some genuine Chinese music performed by the Yellow River Ensemble.  Throughout the afternoon, there were scattered some pieces from Bruce’s Clavier-Book  –  keyboard pieces commissioned from Derek Holman in memory of various Torontonians who have been significant in musical activities.
