Songs of travel - to many times and countries

To cast a wider net for our new performing group, we developed this programme in 1985 specifically for touring. The repertoire was deliberately diverse and in a number of languages. Narrative links were provided from the letters or memoirs of writers or composers, or by other figures such as Queen Victoria. After we took part in the Ontario Arts Council’s “Contact” event in October 1985, a number of appearances across Ontario and elsewhere materialised. As personnel varied, the programme would be adapted from date to date.
